STOKED TO BE PART OF ALBERTA FASHION WEEK!!!! This is my first fashion week here in Alberta and I am so privileged that even only after 9 months in this country, I am one of the chosen ones to experience and cover it all at the same time. It's gonna be crazy, like with all the fashion weeks but I am giddy to be attending all of these events with blogger/friend Ashley.

Last Monday was the media reception and here is what I wore. I wore almost the exact same ensemble during my last PFW attendance and I think this look kind of put me in the map (got featured in Cosmopolitan Philippines and Stylebible). The blazer is just amazeballssssss and it's vintage from my grandma's closet! The jumpsuit is thrifted from back home and I just put some leggings underneath to give the harem jumpsuit more emphasis.

vintage leopard blazer from my grandma's closet. thrifted harem jumpsuit and chained sling bag from the Philippines Forever 21 leggings, necklace and ring. Spring wedge booties. Aldo sunnies.

The Alberta Fashion Week Media Reception was an exclusive sneak peak for the press and platinum pass holders to see some of the works of the designers. It was also a chance to mingle with the designers and get to know people from the industry while everyone indulges in appies and blueberry cosmo sponsored by Earl's.

Apt. 22, D.W, Mealan Boutique, and Anne B. Accessories were some of the few designers who showed a sneak peak of their collections. I was able to speak with Anne B.'s designer and like what I've said in my last post, I was ecstatic to know that she is a Filipina who gets all her materials like pearls and wood all the way back from Cebu, Philippines. It was also amazing to have met D.W.'s designer and to know that he was self-taught was surprising and inspiring all at the same time. His works are all made from recycled materials and I've always been an advocate for that.

LiveCosmo also announced the winner of the Look of YYC. Kim won the People's Choice and Karolina was chosen as the Sophia Model's AFW Runway Search winner.

Bellissima Fashions also announced that they are representing one of the local designers who will show at Alberta Fashion Week at their flagship store in Chinook Centre. This will be exciting. Good luck to all the designers!!!
