A few weeks ago, I received an exclusive invitation from Emily Scarlett and Jason Krell and I couldn't be happier! I guess one of the perks of being a blogger is getting invites like these. H&M is one of my favorite retail brands but they only have 3 stores in Calgary all of which are either in the northeast and northwest and unfortunately, I live in the southwest. It certainly would require too much effort and time to go to these H&M stores so imagine my squeal when I learned that they are opening at The Core, Downtown! Not that close to where I live still but at least it is in the middle of the city and I always head Downtown anyway.
Tagging my BFF Dee along, we headed last Wednesday to the exclusive VIP pre-opening of the 4th flagship store of H&M in Calgary and to witness the unveiling of The Conscious Collection way before the entire nation saw it! We were greeted at the door with some bubbly, appys and the smell of new clothes!!! I couldn't quite contain myself! I don't know if I should start--shopping, mingling or drinking but multi-tasker as I was, I was able to do everything!
Definitely, highlight of my night was meeting Emily Scarlett, H&M Canada's Spokesperson. I wish I had a video of our talk--on how she thinks the Conscious Collection would do, her favorite piece out of the collection and what's gonna be on her shopping bag. I did get to see familiar faces too from bloggers to fashion industry people :)

The whole first floor was filled with girly clothes from florals, prints, colors, white, maxi dresses, cropped tops, fringe, lace, stripes, neon, crochet--it was definitely spring fashion heaven! The second floor was divided to the men's and kid's section. I don't mean to be rude but I've always liked H&M's interiors rather than that of F21. I like things organized. Shoes, bags, accessories in one section; basics in another one; lingerie to the other side; clothes of the same category in one side and the others on another. H&M is good with that. Yes, I think shopping seriously sometimes. LOL ;)
I went home with two items because I just don't want to spend the whole night waiting in the looooooooong line to fit. I got a lacey fringe top and a printed tank top which are both very Coachella-ish. I wish I could've bought a lot more because everyone got a 20% discount that night but I've been on a major shopping streak lately that I have to stop for a bit. However, the moment I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about the maxi dresses, the cropped tops and anything and everything with the peace sign on it. I'm starting to give myself a monthly shopping allowance to avoid impulsive buying and I definitely know where to spend this month's on! :)
J'adore, H&M ♥
